Toni Raiten-D'Antonio's book " Velvetine Principles" teaches "How to be Real"

I've been reading this excellent book and learning. Thought I'd share.
Reviewer Richard Morse
Book/Mark, Spring 2005

Toni Raiten-D'Antonio is a psychotherapist.  She uses a delightful combination of her own life experiences and the hidden lessons contained in Williams' The Velveteen Rabbit to present the reader with twelve simple rules that can be used to negotiate one's way through the "United States of Generica," and "Become real" in the process.  It sounds simple enough, and actually it is, but it requires those who want to take the journey to do some painful, such as to turn away from object oriented culture and to rejoice in the hidden value that life's suffering presents.

Sphinx Moth in a Moon Flower

Looked out the window during dinner tonight and saw lots of rapid fluttering at the Moon Flower Vine. There must have been 5-6 of theses moths enjoying the flowers. Most flew away when I went out, but I was barely lucky enough to catch this one. Shortly after taking this picture it swooped by my face and went off into the dusk. This is the first year that I've had this vine grow for me. I've tried several attempts over the years. I'm  glad I kept trying.

Color Block Toho Beaded Cuff done with the Ndebele Stich

BEADED CUFF BRACELET

This is a Toho #11 beaded color block cuff done with a ndebele stitch.http://www.interweavestore.com/Beading-Jewelry/Projects/Colorblock-Cuff.html this link shows the original picture and pattern that captured my eye way back in 2007! Over the years when I would think that I'd like to tackle the bracelet, I'd look for one online source to get the beads the same as those used or very similar. That didn't happen until this past June. This link is to the online source I used and was very happy with: http://www.beyondbeadery.com/.
The clasp I found at:http://www.firemountaingems.com/shopping.asp?skw=KWCLASPVERMSLIDELOCK
I'm hooked, I can't wait to make another one in with different colors. I will be looking to do it in mother of pearl/pinks next. The instructions are not really detailed. I endured a lot of "do-overs" to get it to look like the photo. Email me if you need guidance.  Sue
